Applied the patch submitted with bug #3344.  This fixes PHP5 issues while retaining PHP4 functionality.
Also altered the bb5.5 importer:
* Respecting certain "visible" flags
* Made the default course properties match the importer capabilities better
* Fixed the resource summaries
* Converting Bb "Staff Information"
